Handheld computer developer Palm Inc has revealed the upcoming release of the newest version of the Palm OS.
Version 5 will reportedly be faster and more secure than older versions of the operating system. Additionally, multimedia capabilities will be included as well as options for recording and playing digital audio.
Palm is already shipping the software to developers while the first devices to use Palm OS 5 are expected some time in the summer of 2002.
