Semiconductor, telecommunication, and digital convergence technology company Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has introduced a 128MB DDR SDRAM graphics memory chip.

The chip is reportedly capable of operating at a rate of 3.2Gb per second. Additionally, it operates at a clock speed of 400MHz and has a data transmission rate of 800MB/s.

According to the company, the chip is intended for use in routers, network switches, gaming platforms, set-top boxes and other consumer products.

The price of the chip has not yet been released by Samsung.
