Microsoft Corp has launched the second beta version of its Visual J# '.NET' tool for Java language developers for the '.NET' framework.

The development tool combines XML web services with Java language programmes and is intended to allow Java developers to write code for the '.NET' platform. Visual J# '.NET' provides developers with access to the '.NET' framework, integration with Visual Studio '.NET' and a number of Visual J 6.0 upgrade tools.

The beta release is available now at http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/visualj/jsharp/beta.asp. A final release has been scheduled for the middle of 2002.
