Macintosh manufacturer Apple Computer Corp has revealed a new version of its iMac computer that is aimed specifically at the education market.

The new offering will feature a 700MHz processor together with a 17-inch screen that is reportedly the right size to fit on an average school desk. A number of varying resolutions will also be possible for different academic uses.

No pricing details have yet been announced.
