Integrated circuit developer AMD is set to have its Athlon MP processors used in digital audio workstations for Steinberg, an audio solutions producer.
The Athlon-based workstations will be used to perform pre- and post-production on audio tracks for CDs or DVDs. A spokesperson for Steinberg claims that by using just one workstation for audio production the efficiency of the workflow and production cycles is enhanced, leaving more time for the creative process.
