Storage management software company BakBone Software has introduced a solution that integrates tape hardware with disk-to-disk backups.
Organisations can now use the Lifecycle Data Management solution to create pseudo tape libraries on disk storage devices that can be scaled by adding more disk capacity. These can then be migrated to tape for long-term storage. Administrators can also use the system to ensure the fastest backup and recovery times for critical applications, according to the company.
