Networking solutions manufacturer Intersil Corp has released its PRISM 802.11b WLAN driver solution for Smart Displays that use the Windows CE for Smart Displays operating system.

According to Intersil the new driver solution was developed through collaboration with Microsoft Corp to ensure that the Smart Display products had wireless capabilities.

Smart Displays provide wireless access to a PC running Windows XP from anywhere in the home. The devices feature a stylus and touch-sensitive screen, an on-screen keyboard and a writing pad with handwriting recognition.

No pricing information was disclosed.
