Desktop, server and device management solutions provider LANDesk Software Inc has announced the upcoming release of a vulnerability assessment and automated patch management product.
When it is made available the solution will be used in conjunction with the LANDesk Management Suite to automate vulnerability assessment and patch management operations. This will ensure that desktop PCs that are connected to a network are kept secure and minimise the amount of downtime that may be experienced.

The new product is expected to be made available in the fourth quarter of 2003. To date, no pricing information has been disclosed.
