WLAN provider Proxim Corp has launched its ORiNOCO '.11a/b/g' ComboCard product line for providing Wi-Fi connectivity to notebook computers.
The ORiNOCO ComboCards are capable of connecting to wireless networks running 802.11b, 802.11a and 802.11g technology. They also incorporate the IEEE 802.11d World Mode standard that enables the card to automatically configure itself to any local wireless standard.

A spokesperson for the company said that the ComboCards have been developed so that any notebook user can connect to any wireless network anywhere with a minimum of hassle.
The full-featured Gold ComboCard is available now for GBP70 while a Silver version costs GBP56.
