Network-attached storage solutions provider Snap Appliance has announced the immediate availability of Version 2.6 of its GuardianOS operating system.
The new product features a number of improvements over older versions such as interoperability with Windows Server 2003. This enables users of the GuardianOS-powered Snap Server NAS system to integrate their system into Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Service environments.

Version 2.6 also includes support for Snap Disk 10, a 1U expansion array recently launched by Snap Appliance.
GuardianOS 2.6 can be obtained from the http://www.snapappliance web site as a free upgrade for users of Snap Server 4200, 4400, 4500 and 14000.
