UK telecomms company BT plc has joined forces with electronics company Philips to launch a broadband-enabled bundle that lets users listen to downloaded music anywhere in their home.

The bundle consists of the Philips Streamline MC-i250 hi-fi together with the BT Voyager 2000 Wireless Modem. The combination utilises a broadband connection to stream MP3 files and online radio stations wirelessly to the hi-fi in any room of the house.

The agreement is part of BT's Home of Possibilities initiative which is intended to extend broadband throughout the house and network a range of devices.

Pricing starts at GBP499.99.
