A new range of handheld computers has been launched by computer manufacturer Dell Inc.

The Axim X3 product family is targeted at small businesses and includes three handheld computers which are designed to be lightweight and compact. The Axim X3i configuration includes integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b and is priced at EUR329. Two non-wireless configurations are also available, priced at EUR269 and EUR199.

All Axim X3 models feature colour displays, removable primary batteries, secure digital I/O, consumer infrared and optional built-in wireless networking. They are provided with Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003, and Pocket versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger and Windows Media Player.
