Disk drive developer Toshiba Europe Storage Division has announced the immediate availability of its MK1031GAS hard disk drive.
The new storage solution is a 2.5-inch hard disk drive that is 9.5mm high and has a storage capacity of 100GB. This will make the product suitable for inclusion in multimedia portable PCs, according to the company.
A spokesperson for Toshiba Europe Storage Device Division said the hard disk drive is capable of storing around 400 hours of MPEG-4 formatted motion pictures and is resistant to shocks due to its load/unload mechanism.
