Information solutions company Novell, Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVL) has announced the availability of Novell Business Continuity Clustering 1.0, which automates the configuration and management of clustered-server solutions.

Novell Business Continuity Clustering, built on Novell Cluster Services 1.7 and NetWare 6.5, connects and synchronizes a "cluster of clusters" - two to four server clusters with up to 32 servers per cluster. If a data center's cluster goes offline, the other clusters assume its workload to ensure nonstop user access to data and resources, claims Novell.

Pricing is USD9,995 for customers without a Novell maintenance contract.
