Chip maker Intel Corp has announced the immediate availability of its PRO/Wireless 2200BG network connection with 802.11b and 802.11g wireless networking capabilities.

The new technology is a standards-based and Wi-Fi certified WLAN that is designed to maintain high throughput at longer ranges in an office or home environment. Also, the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG network connection can reportedly deliver enhanced wireless network performance for notebook PCs based on Intel Centrino mobile technology.

The Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG network connection will now be included in Intel Centrino mobile technology-based notebook PCs.

In 10,000-unit quantities pricing starts at USD25.
