Macintosh developer Apple Computer Corp has released its Final Cut Express 2 product for video editing operations.

The new solution is based on the company's Final Cut Pro 4 professional video editing software and is designed for creative professionals that require a video editing solution but are not full-time videographers, claims Apple.

Final Cut Express 2 is designed for use with Mac OS X version 10.3 and provides tools for real-time compositing and effects, a user interface, real-time colour correction and audio editing.

Pricing starts at GBP199 for the full product or GBP69 for an upgrade from an earlier edition.
