JVC Professional has announced the immediate availability of its MC-R434U, a new DVD writer that is designed to create DVDs in less time.
The multi writer is a 4x DVD writer that forms part of the company's integrated jukebox range. Users creating custom DVDs with the device can achieve writing speeds of up to 5.44MB/s in DVD-R format although other recording formats such as DVD-RAM, CD-R and CD-RW are also possible.

A spokesperson for the company said the MC-R434U multi writer is designed to provide a fast, flexible and cost effective drive.
The cost of the MC-R434U DVD writer was not announced.
