The US Consumer Safety Commission along with Oki Data Americas Inc has issued a recall of a number of fax machines due to a malfunction that might cause a shock hazard for users.

The recalled machines are the OKIFAX(r) 5780, 5980, 5980DL models, and Konica 9880 model (manufactured by Oki Data Americas Inc.), with serial numbers beginning with 3110A, 311A, 312A, 401A and 402A sold between October 2003 and February 2004.
