The intelligent eXchange (iX) SIP switch from TeleWare, an intelligent business communication solutions provider, has been selected by BDO Stoy Hayward, a UK member firm of accountancy network BDO international.
The agreement arose following BDO's decision to migrate to an IP Telephony solution and improve customer service through better conferencing and speech recognition. The solution will enable BDO to dynamically adapt and control its IVR system to make sure customers are not left waiting or transferred to voicemail without need.

BDO is said to have purchased applications including iX, described as a SIP-based softswitch application running in a PurePlay architecture. It said the IP solution from TeleWare will enable IP migration with minimal disruption to the current system and provide flexibility and cost effectiveness when starting VoIP calls from any location. BDO is reported to have made a substantial investment in a range of applications from TeleWare, including conferencing, team contactability, contact centres over the wide area and speech recognition.
