Epson has launched its new Epson Stylus Photo R320 printer which incorporates a colour LCD preview screen that displays photos from memory cards. This enables the user to easily choose, crop and print photos and allows the unit to operate in a standalone capacity without the need for a computer.

The Stylus Photo R320 supports Pictbridge technology and USB DIRECT-PRINT, making the printer compatible with a range of digital cameras. The printer supports most popular memory card types without the need for special adapters.

In addition, photos can also be transferred to the printer via the USB 2.0 interface or via Bluetooth, enabling the direct printing of photos that have been captured on mobile phones or digital cameras. Equipped with Epson Creativity Suite, photo printing and editing software from Epson, the printer offers printing, editing and image file management through a PC.

Featuring MicroPiezo print head technology the printer is capable of producing a 10x15cm photo in 39 seconds with a resolution of 5760dpi. The printer also offers a direct CD printing function to create CDs and DVDs using Epson Print CD software.

The Epson Stylus Photo R320 is available from June 2005 priced at GBP149.99 including VAT.
