Trend Micro InterScan Web Security Suite 2.5, a gateway security solution to block spyware, grayware, viruses and phishing attacks, has been launched.
The new offering was unveiled by Trend Micro Inc (TSE:4704, NASDAQ:TMIC), a network anti-virus and Internet content security software and services company. Trend Micro reported that its newest version of the InterScan Web Security Suite would protect networks during an outbreak or malware attack and can carry out a "cleanup" to remove resident spyware.

According to Trend Micro, the Suite also protects users from phishing attacks by blocking outbound "phone home" communications at the Internet gateway. There is an optional module to identify malicious mobile code and stop self-installing spyware and a URL filtering module can be selected.
The Trend Micro InterScan Web Security Suite 2.5 (in English) is available in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific for the Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 environments at a price starting from GBP18.18 per user.
