Sunbelt System Software, a provider of Windows system administration tools and enterprise security solutions, has announced a major upgrade to its enterprise anti-spyware solution, CounterSpy Enterprise, which now includes desktop spyware protection.

Version 1.5 of the spyware protection software has enhanced capabilities to detect and remove spyware threats with new Active Protection Monitors that deliver spyware protection on users' workstations. The upgrade also offers enhanced support for remote console administration and terminal services.

CounterSpy's Active Protection Monitors help reduce the chances of getting infected by spyware. Designed as a series of security checkpoints, the Active Protection Monitors observe system and application changes, Internet activity and other potentially unwanted actions.

In addition, CounterSpy Enterprise now supports multiple administrative consoles connecting to a single server. All consoles are updated when any changes are made to the CounterSpy server.

CounterSpy Enterprise is priced starting at GBP190.00, and includes one year of spyware definition updates and product upgrades. A free trial version of CounterSpy Enterprise spyware protection is available at http://www.sunbelt-software.com.
