Endeca, a provider of online guided navigation, search and analysis solutions, has announced the availability of a new combination of information retrieval applications and services expertise, Manufacturing & Distribution Search Solutions.

The solutions aim to help manufacturers and suppliers boost parts reuse and strategic sourcing initiatives, improve customer service, drive online sales, and reduce costs by enabling employees and customers to quickly find what they are looking for.

The Endeca Product Data Navigator provides manufacturers with search and Guided Navigation capabilities to unlock information assets and expose data to a wider user base. It combines the concepts of search and browse into a single integrated function, providing users with the ability to find products, parts, components and related information through a web-based interface.

Endeca's product search and Guided Navigation solutions support large catalogues in the hundreds of thousands of SKUs. Features include Dynamic Merchandising and Custom Catalogues that filter the master catalogue to display subsets of catalogue content and customer-specific pricing.

The content search and Guided Navigation solutions connect online visitors with the most relevant company and product information. These solutions are able to search content from hundreds of file formats and repositories, in virtually any language, according to the company.
