Plans to sell portable MP3 digital music players aimed at children and capable of storing around 60 songs have been revealed by the Walt Disney Co.

The Disney Mix Sticks players will have an internal 128MB storage card and will also be able to hold 1GB memory cards and play songs as sold on small memory cards. The players will be around the size of a pack of chewing gum and will be available in four styles including Sassy Pixie and Forever Princess.

The Mix Sticks players will be sold from mid-October at Disney's online store and Limited Too, Sears, Target and Wal-Mart.com, priced at USD49.99.
