Office Sync-enterprise-class mobile e-mail based on the mobile e-mail software from SEVEN, a provider of software for mobile operators, is being offered by Alltel, a wireless network owner in the US.

Alltel has introduced Office Sync in the Enterprise Server Edition for businesses and the Personal Edition for smaller businesses and individuals, available initially on Windows Mobile-based and Palm-powered smartphones.

Office Sync offers an intuitive user experience, quick set up, over-the-air upgrades and low maintenance and provides features such as enterprise-class security, with no hidden fees. It is compatible with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, IMAP and POP-based e-mail and with a broad range of handsets and offers customisation for IT administrators and end users.

Office Sync is available for USD39.99 per month, including an unlimited data plan, via Alltel's retail, direct and indirect business channels.
