The CK61 rugged mobile computer, designed for the physically demanding requirements of the delivery to store market, has been unveiled by Intermec, a mobile computing company.

The CK61 features rubber corner bumpers to protect against drops and a magnesium top cover and a case sealed to IP64 standards against dust and water.

Intermec said the computer is designed for the quick input and retrieval of information, has a QVGA touch screen display and a large keyboard for one or two handed input. It is able to run text-based applications and graphical interfaces.

The CK61 is Windows CE 5.0-based and features on-board Persistent Storage non-volatile memory which preserves databases and applications should the battery run down.

The CK61 integrates high-speed Ethernet, USB and RS232 serial connections and Bluetooth wireless personal area communications and features an SDIO card slot and Intermec's SmartSystem for complete device management.
