LSI Logic Corp (NYSE:LSI), a supplier of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) storage solutions, has announced that its low-profile MegaRAID SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) adapters have been selected by Fujitsu Siemens Computers, a European IT provider, for integration into the PRIMERGY Server Platform.

According to the company, the Fujitsu Siemens Computers PRIMERGY Dual S3 product line, featuring Dual-Core processors, will integrate a variety of LSI SAS technologies, including the two new 3Gb/s PCI Express half-height adapters, the MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP, with eight internal SAS/SATA ports, and the SAS 8344ELP, with four internal and four external SAS/SATA ports. Other LSI products selected by Fujitsu Siemens Computers include the MegaRAID SAS 8480E with eight external SAS/SATA ports, the SAS1068 IC, 8-port 3Gb/s SAS controller, and its forthcoming LSI SAS1078 RAID-on-Chip (ROC) silicon solution.
