Fujitsu Siemens Computers, a European IT provider, unveiled on Tuesday (14 November) its dynamic, self-managing technology platform for Microsoft-based computing, Dynamic IT for Microsoft.

According to the company, the solution is targeted at larger midsize companies and large enterprises, and combines Fujitsu Siemens Computers' fully-virtualised PRIMERGY BladeFrame servers with Microsoft Operations Manager, a central management tool for Windows-based applications.

Dynamic IT for Microsoft is said to be a self-managing solution, which autonomously monitors application and system performance and consequently makes rules-based decisions to reallocate computing resources, securing maximum system responsiveness and availability. Microsoft Operations Manager monitors system performance in areas including CPU and memory usage, network load, error counts, hard disk space, network response times, and provides application awareness by tracking application-specific responses such log file, event log entries and running threads, and monitoring this information allows a dynamic response to system alerts, the company claims.

No financial or pricing details were disclosed.
