Internet security solutions provider Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ: CHKP) announced on Monday (20 November) plans to start the technical public beta testing phase of ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 7.0.
According to the company the new ZoneAlarm 7.0 suite focuses on strengthening the core anti-malware assets. A new antivirus engine reportedly detects and removes a wider variety of threats with hourly signature updates, while new anti-spyware provides an additional layer of defence against blended threats.

ZoneAlarm's OSFirewall has been updated with new malware blocking capabilities, stopping spyware, rootkits, keyloggers and other threats from infecting a user's PC. In addition a new Auto-Learn Mode automatically configures security settings based on the user's PC environment and behaviour, reducing the number of alerts a user may experience upon installation of ZoneAlarm, the company claims.
The beta testing for ZoneAlarm 7.0 is expected to last 4-7 weeks. No pricing details were disclosed.
