Worldwide Computer Products News-3 November 2006-3M unveils laptop and desktop computer privacy filters(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Technology company 3M United Kingdom will demonstrate its range of laptop and desktop computer privacy filters for the banking and finance market at CARTES 2006.

According to the company, the filters address customer confidentiality concerns at branch customer reception points and interview desks, and help to ensure security for customers performing online banking transactions via their PC or laptop in public environments.

The filters are reportedly designed to fit over most laptop or desktop PC screens, from 13-inch to 21-inch, ensuring that only the user sitting in front of the screen has access to the information that is displayed. The filtered uses 'micro-louvre' technology meaning that anyone sitting either side of the device will only see a blacked out screen.

No pricing details were disclosed.
