Worldwide Computer Products News-6 November 2006-Microsoft completes software code for Office 2007(C)1995-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Software company Microsoft Corp has revealed that it has completed the software code for its forthcoming Office 2007 suite and confirmed that the desktop software package will be made available to corporate customers on 30 November.

Microsoft's announcement that Office 2007 is ready for 'release to manufacturing' indicates that the suite is suitable for distribution and is relatively free of bugs. The company said it had crossed the development finish line.

The release of the Office 2007 upgrade, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, was delayed by Microsoft earlier in the year.

The company also plans to make the new Windows Vista operating system and 2007 Exchange e-mail server available to business customers on the same day. It intends to introduce the products for consumers early next year.
