The AT&T Smart Limits website of parental controls intended to educate and empower parents, has been unveiled by US communications company AT&T Inc (NYSE:T).

The website, which can be found at http://www.att.com/smartlimits, provides information for parental control features for AT&T services such as wireless, wireline, video and high-speed Internet access into a single online portal.

AT&T said the website includes features such as content controls and channel and phone number blockers and claimed parental controls for its services will enable boundaries to be established for technology used by children.

The site includes Wireless Smart, allowing parents to find out how to control wireless purchases and online access, with the MEdia Net Parental Controls restricting mobile phone access to some websites and subscription purchases.

Surf Smart finds tools to block websites with inappropriate or mature content and AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet and Dial members gain a parental controls package to enable content to be filtered and security settings customised.

Watch Smart provides info about managing the family's TV viewing, the video parental controls enable customers to filter viewing, Talk Smart helps protect against unwanted callers and home calling features provide further options.
