According to the company, the new imageRUNNER LBP printers offer high speeds and high quality, and their compact design fits into tight workspace environments. The Color imageRUNNER LBP5960 operates at up to 30 pages-per-minute (ppm) for both colour and black and white, while the Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 operates at up to 22 ppm for both colour and black and white output for letter-sized media, and the monochrome imageRUNNER LBP3460 operates at up to 35 ppm for letter-sized black-and-white output.
In addition, Canon's new desktop imageRUNNER LBP models are said to include the imageRUNNER print drivers and device management tools such as Remote UI and imageWARE Enterprise Management Console, which will allow users to integrate imageRUNNER LBP printers in an environment that includes imageRUNNER multifunctional devices. All three models support standard duplexing, enabling two-sided document printing, and Canon's UFR II Printing Technology, which helps improve processing speed by sharing the processing workload between the computer and printer.
All three LBP models incorporate expanded memory capacities to provide high-speed image processing of data, up to 384MB RAM for Color imageRUNNER LBP5960/5360 and up to 320MB RAM for the imageRUNNER LBP3460, and feature a standard USB 2.0 High Speed interface for direct connection to a host, as well as 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface for shared use and remote monitoring in networked environments, the company claims.
Pricing is USD 3,399 for Color imageRUNNER LBP5960, USD1,350 for Color imageRUNNER LBP5360 and USD999 for imageRUNNER LBP3460.
