Worldwide Computer Products News-12 June 2007-Ndx family of wireless network solutions introduced by US Robotics(C)1995-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

US Robotics, a Platinum Equity company and a provider of Internet access and networking solutions, is now shipping its Ndx family of wireless network solutions.

According to the company, the Ndx Wireless Product Family uses US Robotics' Ndx technology to give data speeds up to 270Mb/s, and a range of up to five times greater than standard 802.11g products. The products feature advanced SecureEZ Setup installation wizard, which easily configures inbuilt security features during installation of Ndx adapters, routers or access points.

Ndx security capabilities reportedly include Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), WPA2/802.11i, 802.1x Authentication and 64/128-bit WEP or AES encryption. In addition, the Wireless Ndx Router and ADSL2 Gateway include integrated advanced firewall (SPI) support for VPN Termination (IPSec) and VPN pass-through, as well as MAC Address Authentication, while routers also feature parental controls to limit access.

The product family is compliant with the IEEE 802.11n Draft 1.0 standard for wireless networking products and is also compatible with previous wireless standards and products, including those meeting the 802.11b/g standards, US Robotics' MAXg wireless product family, and other accelerated wireless technologies, the company claims.

Pricing is GBP89.99 (inc VAT) for Wireless Ndx Router; GBP84.99 for Wireless Ndx Access Point; GBP104.99 for Wireless Ndx ADSL2 Gateway; GBP49.99 for Wireless Ndx PC Card; and GBP49.99 for Wireless Ndx PCI Adapter.
