CA (NYSE:CA), an IT management software company, announced on Wednesday (6 June) it has released its CA Internet Security Suite 2007 and CA Desktop DNA Migrator 2007 software on a pair of 2GB credit card-sized flash drive memory cards.

According to the company, customers will have the option to buy a drive pre-loaded with CA Internet Security Suite 2007 or a combination of both CA Internet Security Suite 2007 and the CA Desktop DNA Migrator 2007, called CA Secure & Store Flash Drive. Both programs work with the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, and the flash drive enables users to leverage Windows Vista ReadyBoost technology.

The pre-loaded CA Internet Security Suite 2007, which can be installed on up to three personal computers, is features: integrated anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and personal firewall; low system overhead; Threat Outbreak Warning System; as well as support by the CA Security Advisory Team. The CA Desktop DNA Migrator 2007 offers: an easy way to transfer and safeguard a PC's 'DNA', such as pictures, music, address books, e-mail, favourites, Internet connection settings; flexible migration methods; as well as easy backup.

When the CA software is installed and deleted, the wallet-size flash cards can be used to transport 2GB worth of data. The drives, manufactured by Ultra Products, Inc for CA, work with Windows 2000, XP or Vista systems. The drives require one USB port with a USB 2.0 interface, but are also compatible with USB 1.1 ports, the company claims.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price is USD69.99 (GBP49.99) for the CA Internet Security Suite Flash Drive and USD79.99 (GBP59.99) for the CA Secure & Store Flash Drive.
