Logitech (NASDAQ:LOGI), a manufacturer of personal peripherals, has announced two new additions to its range of notebook peripherals: the Logitech QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks and the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks.
The company said that both new products offer Logitech's enhanced RightSound Technology with new noise suppression, and RightLight Technology, which enables clear image quality even in dim lighting. In addition the QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks incorporates a glass lens with a 1.3 megapixel sensor for improved image clarity, the company said.

Both webcams reportedly work in conjunction with a range of video messaging applications including Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM. They will also be the first webcams to offer a new Logitech software feature called Fun Filters. Logitech Fun Filters create an outline around any object visible in the image and users can change their image to one of twelve fun filters.
The Logitech QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks and Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks are expected to be available in the US and Europe starting in April. The QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks will have a recommended retail price of USD59.99, with the recommended retail price for the QuickCam for Notebooks set at USD39.99.
