Computer company Apple has revealed it has updated its MacBook consumer notebooks with the faster Core 2 Duo processors from chip manufacturer Intel, along with 1GB of memory and larger hard drives.

Apple said the MacBooks offer 802.11n wireless networking, an iSight video camera for video conferencing, the company's MagSafe Power Adapter and iLife 06, which includes iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, iWeb and GarageBand.

The 13.3" 2GHz white MacBook features a 667MHz front-side bus, 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 80GB SATA hard drive at 5400rpm, DVD-ROM/CD-RW optical drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and Mini-DVI out and a suggested retail price of USD1,099.

The 13.3" 2.16GHz white MacBook features a 667MHz front-side bus, 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 120GB SATA hard drive at 5400rpm, DVD+R DL/DVDRW/CD-RW optical drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and Gigabit Ethernet port, with a USD1,299 suggested retail price.

In addition the 13.3" 2.16GHz black MacBook features a 667MHz front-side bus, 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB SATA hard drive at 5400rpm, a DVD+R DL/DVDRW/CD-RW optical drive and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, with a suggested retail price of USD1,499.

The MacBook also features the Mac OS X version 10.4.9 Tiger, which includes Safari, Mail, iCal, iChat AV, Photo Booth and Front Row and offers various build-to-order upgrade options.
