Electronics company Sony has announced enhancements to its VAIO CR20-Series and NR10-Series notebook ranges.
Sony has introduced a new colour scheme to its VAIO CR20-Series - 'Sparkling Sand' - which uses a harmonised palette of beach and precious metal tones. The notebook range has a widescreen display with X-black LCD enhancement, and features an integrated 1.3 megapixel Motion Eye webcam for high-resolution video chat. In addition, a special AV function enables users to watch DVDs or play music without having to start up Windows first.

According to the company, its VAIO NR10-Series features a new chasis, which has a minutely dimpled finish, as well as smooth and rounded edges and corners. The range is available in Silver colour scheme or in brown - Wenge (name taken from African hardwood). The notebook range features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 2GB of SDRAM and a 15.4" widescreen X-black LCD. The new models are equipped with an AV button for watching DVDs and listening to music without having to start Windows, and feature four USB ports.
No pricing details were disclosed.
