The Inspiron 1525, a 15.4-inch notebook, has been introduced by computer company Dell Inc (Nasdaq:DELL), offering a smaller, slimmer, lighter replacement to the previous generation and providing more personalisation options and four new patterns along with the original eight LCD back choices.

The Inspiron 1525 features Dell MediaDirect technology, which provides one-touch instant access to music, photos and videos and certain Microsoft Office programs such as Calendar and Contacts, without turning on the notebook. It offers capacitive touch multimedia buttons for fingertip control of entertainment content and Dell's Wi-Fi Catcher, enabling the user to locate and connect to a Wi-Fi network, or to turn off the wireless to help save battery life.

The notebook also offers built-in Wireless USB and multiple wireless options for short and long-range connectivity, allowing the user to access the Internet with built-in Mobile Broadband.

Dell confirmed its New Online Data Migration Service allows users to easily and securely move personal settings and data to new Dell notebooks and desktops via PC-to-PC Transfer.

The Inspiron 1525 notebook features a 2.0 megapixel webcam, dual digital array microphones, noise isolation headphones, ExpressCard Travel Remote and high resolution displays and is priced from USD499. It is offered in four new optional patterns: Blossom, Chill, Commotion and Street.
