AMAX launches clustered supercomputer

AMAX has announced the launch of a supercomputer which they claim is one of the world's 200 fastest computers.

The computer, designed for data centers or other users of high performance computers, features 2816 Intel Xeon cores, 5,632GB of RAM and 2,816 Tb of hot swap storage. All of the support systems such as the Infiniband host channel adapters and the Ethernet switches are designed to be easily accessible and hot-swappable, with redundancy built into the various systems including the cooling and power supplies.
