Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a data protection and security company, announced on Thursday (29 May) the worldwide introduction of the Iomega eGo 1TB Desktop Hard Drive.

According to the company, the new single-drive HDD 'Super eGo' is available worldwide in ruby red, midnight blue, and jet black. The new drive model houses a 1TB, 3.5" hard drive with USB 2.0 connectivity and its design is based on the popular Iomega eGo Portable Hard Drive, one of the company's best-selling line of hard drives.

The drive comes as a complete storage solution with a license for EMC Retrospect HD software for automatic backups, scheduled backups, or on-demand backups, the company said.

Pricing is GBP149.99 (inc. VAT).
