New version of Progress Software's Internet messaging server now available

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Progress Software Corp has launched Progress SonicMQ 2000.1, the latest version of its Java-based Internet messaging server.

The new version offers 30% faster delivery of point-to-point messages than the original SonicMQ version, enhanced security and support for certified HP-UX and IBM AIX operating systems in addition to Windows NT, Sun Solaris and Linux.

SonicMQ 2000.1 is available immediately in three versions - the Enterprise Edition for deployment configurations and complex development environment, the Developer Edition for the building and testing of messaging applications and the Small Business Edition for connecting up to 50 concurrent users to a single broker. Pricing was not revealed.
