CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

SurfControl Plc has introduced a new e-mail filtering software called SuperScout Email Filter.

The software is designed to increase a company's security by preventing confidential data loss and protecting from e-mail borne viruses, by limiting legal liability through filtering out offensive or inappropriate e-mail and by improving productivity through the elimination of spam and other junk e-mail. In addition the product can be used to minimise or discourage excessive personal use of e-mail.

Features include the ability to schedule non-essential e-mail to transmit after business hours to enhance e-mail server productivity and an ability for managers to review and take proper action on messages violating policy rules from anywhere on the network using standard web browsers.

Availability and pricing were not revealed.
