CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

US-based Computer Associates International Inc has made available Jasmine Developer 2E Web Option, a new system that will deliver legacy iSeries applications to the web without the need for reprogramming.

The product is an extension to Jasmine Developer 2E (formerly COOL:2E), an application development system for IBM iSeries environments. It broadens the model-driven development capability of Jasmine Developer 2E to enable companies to deliver web applications from a single development platform - eliminating the need to learn new skills.

In addition, by facilitating the generation of markup languages directly from business models built in Jasmine Developer 2E, the new system equips applications for use on the web with no architectural changes.

Pricing was not disclosed.
