CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

UK-based Staffware Plc has added support for Interface 4, the revised version of the Workflow Management Coalition's WfXML interoperability standard, to its business process automation technology.

The new, revised standard is designed to enable workflow engine products from differing vendors and suppliers to interoperate with one another. This will allow automated business processes initiated in one workflow engine to be fully or partly completed within another while two or more engines will also be able to receive status updates as the other engine executes its part of the process.

Interface 4, which uses XML for data exchange and transmission, is available as part of the Staffware Developer Kit.
