Packeteer has expanded its AppCelera ICX line of Internet application accelerators with a high-performance model for enterprise and Internet data centres.
According to Packeteer the new AppCelera ICX-75 accelerator can reduce response times of web-based enterprise, e-business and e-commerce applications by 50% or more by accelerating web content over the last mile of the user's connection - the remote wide area access link.
Other features include support for up to 400 concurrent connections per second, in-line mode installation with support for up to 32 servers or IP addresses and the provision of on-board logging and optimisation reports.
