Actuate launches Excel spreadsheet engine

Actuate has launched the latest version of its spreadsheet engine, Formula One for Java.

This newest version, 9.0 is among the products added to the Actuate e.Reporting Suite through the acquisition of Tidestone Technologies on 31 May 2001. Improvements over the older version include JSP Charting API and support for Excel Office XP files, together with support for Excel passwords and the ability to insert images into Excel workbooks.

Formula One for Java 9.0 is available now and priced at USD495 for each developer license and USD10,000 for deployment licenses.
