CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The business intelligence provider LexisNexis has launched two new products designed to help companies increase the effectiveness of their intranets and corporate web sites.

The first product is called LexisNexis Intranet Publisher and is a service designed to help companies provide targeted, easy-to-access current news to their employees via the corporate intranet. The tool enables editorial control of company-wide information with the information being updated either automatically or by a content administrator. Companies are charged for the service per end-user access.

The other new product, LexisNexis Web Publisher, allows companies to provide access to global news content via their web site. The service offers a selection of over 1,500 pre-defined topical filters in addition to the ability to build customised topics. Access to the news is free for the web page visitor but LexisNexis will charge the company per topic on a monthly rate.
