CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Marketing consultancy company Frost & Sullivan has completed an analysis report looking into the European vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection system market.

According to the report, organisations are looking to boost capabilities to track attacks and defend their systems from viruses and attacks. Furthermore, as the demand for vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection systems increases vendors will incorporate the functions into enterprise network and system management systems. This will apparently lead to the overall 'health check' of corporate networks residing on a single console.

Frost & Sullivan claims that the licence revenues for the vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection systems industry are set to climb from USD58.25m in 2001 to USD182.2m in 2005.
