Automated tape backup storage system launched by Dell

CORPORATE IT UPDATE-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

PC, IT and Internet provider Dell Computer Corp has introduced the PowerVault 122T tape-backup storage system.

Organisations running the Dell PowerEdge or Dell PowerVault Network Attached Storage servers can use the new system to automate their backup process. The PowerVault 122T is rack-optimised and features a DLT VS80 tape drive with a capacity of eight cartridges - or 320GB.

The PowerVault 122T is available now with prices starting from GBP3,200 VAT.
